Chicago Newborn Photography Session | Welcoming Baby Number Four

There are certain families who become so much more than clients over the years, and this sweet family is one of them. Recently, we had the joy of welcoming them back to our Chicago newborn photography studio to celebrate the arrival of their fourth baby. Every one of their sessions looked different and had a unique color theme.  This session was a maroon newborn session and it photographed so beautifully! As I looked through my camera, I couldn’t help but think about how special it is to have photographed so many milestones for the same family. Watching their family grow and being trusted to document these precious moments is truly one of the greatest gifts of my job.

A Full-Circle Moment for This Growing Family

When this mama first reached out years ago, I never imagined we’d still be creating memories together all these years later. Now, here we are celebrating baby number four, and my heart couldn’t be fuller.

One of the things I love most about being a Chicago newborn photographer is getting to watch families grow. Seeing tiny newborns turn into toddlers, then big siblings welcoming a new baby, is something I never take for granted.

These relationships are what make this work so meaningful. Every session feels less like a photoshoot and more like catching up with friends while documenting another beautiful chapter in their story.

Maroon Newborn Session: A Beautiful Maroon Color Palette for this Baby Girl

For this newborn session, we chose a rich maroon color palette for several of the baby’s setups and wraps. It was such a gorgeous choice for her and brought a unique elegance to the images.

Why We Loved Using Maroon

Maroon isn’t a color we use often in newborn photography, which made it feel even more special. The deep, warm tones photographed beautifully and paired perfectly with soft creams, delicate textures, and feminine details.

The result was a timeless gallery filled with warmth, richness, and beautiful variety.
